Default The Workers’ Party refuses to speak up on housing problem...…..again

    .....

The HDB public houses have cracked the $1 million mark, yet the Worker’s Party was incredibly and inexplicably silent during the recent Parliament sitting to challenge and supervise the ruling party on their failed policy. Instead the PAP backbenchers rose up one after another to query the government.

    ....

During GE2011, the Vichy WP used the high cost of public houses and hoodwinked the public to get elected. Yet, after elected, they had totally betrayed their pledges to their constituents and co-sleep with their PAP puppet-master.

It shows that the government is really out of touch and sleeping. Why need backbenchers to query?
Who crafted the policies in the first place? You mean the govt is unable to project the outcome of their
own policies? Then we need to change the incumbant. Shouldn't the govt just scrapped their failed policy
instead of patching it all over the place? If we let the alternative parties take charge i am sure you won't
be here complaining about the price of public housing.

I am assuming the TS is referring to the most recent parliament sitting because of the date of this thread. Only 2 questions related to housing prices were filed:

*15. Mr Baey Yam Keng: To ask theMinisterfor National Development (a) how
the bases of computation for HDB flat valuation compare across flats for
resale, SERS and compulsory acquisition; (b) how the Ministry views the
increasing cash over valuation (COV) figures; and (c) how can the system be
fine-tuned to make resale flats more affordable.

*26. Mr Pritam Singh: To ask the Prime Minister in light of our current
population of 5.31 million and his view that Singapore can accommodate
6 million people in the future (a) how many of the 690,000 additional arrivals
are envisaged to comprise new citizens, permanent residents and nonresidents respectively; (b) whether the Government has made any social
assessment of the impact of these additional arrivals; and (c) what is the
projected impact of these new arrivals on prices of public and private houses.

It doesn't look to me like what was described by the TS.

Sinkies are being hoodwinked by PAP for over 50 years. During GE2011, they continued to do so to 1.5 million sinkies to get elected. So what if 80K from Aljunied and Hougang got hoodwinked by WP?

    ....

Instead, the Vichy Workers' Party rushed to speak up for the fat cats property agents so that they can make more money on this property bubble.

The Vichy puppets had the audacity and shame to suggest that every unwilling person be forced to engage and pay these middleman and thus inflating the property bubble even more.

And now, WP eunuchs rushed to speak up for the towkays and taitais in Bukit Timah, worrying that their bungalows would depreciate due to flooding.

It seems that the "Workers' Party" would only remember the workers and only speak up for them during elections.

The issue is, Leong is not elected. You don't need Leong. Straits Times also publishing letters everyday. Overall, they may not be able to carry out the tasks of MP. MP's job is not just to ask questions. You need to know diplomacy and PR, you need to have the drive and energy to keep up the work.

The 8 WP eunuchs have more than 1 year to ask such simple question in Parliament which everyone want to ask.

Yet these Vichy eunuchs stubbornly refuse to bite or bark despite the public outcry of ordinary people. They have totally forgotten and betrayed their campaign promise that they will check the PAP regime on the rising housing cost

Its always easy to make noise about what others are doing, yet the very same person would always end up in silence when faced with the same situation or worse, end up notb speaking of the right topic at all.

TS is just a shit stirrer, but he does not even know how to stir up the right shit.
