CSJ's charge was baseless and targeted towards an individual, in fact an outright lie. He deserved what he got.

Liable for what? She showed her frustrations over the Malay wedding. She used the word "FCUK" is not a vulgar word.

Apparently Ang Paos for wedding dinners tend to be upwards of $80, so if some Chinese hold their wedding in cheap hotels and restaurants, they actually make money. I know at least one person who admitted this sheepishly to me.

Wrong bro, in 6 months time, at least two people will still remember - Amy and that dog.

Depends on how you see it, if the marriage doesn't work out its only 50 bucks lost but for chinese that tens and thousands down the drain...

Not to say the MIW deliberately signed this agreement with Ossieland because of Amy. But the agreement is really bad timing for Amy.

The whole thing looks odd, even comical, a lesson of what not to do.

First there was a lot of noise asking for the NTUC to sack Amy, so they sacked Amy. And several ministers came out to condemn her FB comment.

Then somebody followed up with a police report asking to charge her. We are still waiting for the action from the AG. But now cyberspace is loudly condemning such a possible action.

If the Govt were to play to the gallery and follow their usual SOP by putting the whole cabinet and their parliamentarians in full support of their action, wouldn't it look like they had been played first one way then the other way by the crowd. What would our "leaders" do?

If they take a hard line approach with Amy now against public opinion just to show their independence, it will create a cyber commotion never seen before, something they started off trying to prevent. The PAP surely has to review its SOP of "enemy in front, charge" approach in dealing with public opinion.

I respect your opinion in this matter and you are entitled to your opinion without somehow being harrassed and condemned for it. Some forummer that used to post in the old forum by the nick of ptader even came out to flame you simply because you held an opinion different from his and he was cursing you as if you had murdered his family members. Such tyranny should be not be condoned
