K.Shanmugam cannot relate to the Chinese officials and with the departure of Chin Siat Yoon as Ambassador to China and Chan Heng Chee from the United States, things may just fall apart. Vivian is likely being reserved to take over MTI once Lim Hng Kiang announces his retirement next year. Grace will then helm MEWR alone.

Tan Chuan Jin will probably be just like Gan Kim Yong...talk alot, stay away from controversy and ask everyone to go for trg, trg and more trg and quietly endorse issuance of 3rd casino license if economy takes a dive.

Josephine Teo will be slated to take over from Swee Say since the 'chosen one' didnt get to be anointed by the electorate.

Bottomline...LHL is getting worried. And if the newbies brought in by GCT and LKY don't measure-up, he will have no choice but to even sack some of the newbie Ministers and show that he is still a task-master, just like his dad.
K Shamu depends on ambassadors? Loser.

Tharman is destined to hit the international realm soon--IMF really loves him

Teo Chee Hean is the next Lee

Tan Chuan Jin--the price for speaking good English. You don't get the high jobs.

By the next GE, the average size of GRC will reduce further. This means there will be more GRCs and the PAP will need more ministers to helm the increase in GRCs.
Creating new ministries is their strategy to prepare ahead. There must be enough mother hens to helm the little chicks into parliament.

Viewership of medicock and readership of SPH will likely continue downslide, especially amongst the younger generation. LHL is desperately trying to figure out a way to continue PAP dominance of the population's mindshare.

Thus far for past decade, nothing seem to work. P65 MPs was a joke since the day they thought hip-hop dancing will cement their awesomeness amongst the young. TPL got a facebook account and they thought that is the model, so every ministers start having facebook accounts, not knowing that these are merely fads. Now they are getting Yakult to run the new MCI, that will spearhead another attempt to dominate the internet for themselves while scaring off alternative voices with potential new laws.

Good luck for LHL. Yakult is an engineering professor who can't even solve a small flooding problem. Yakult will probably tell his boss that the internet is an once in 50-year phenomenon, so no solution possible or even required

Maybe Yakult will start a new internet censorship branch under MCI, similar to that of China?

I think the significance of the cabinet reshuffle is beyond individuals. This move reflects PaPpies strategy to hold on to the 60.1%, i.e. more welfare, more online censorship.
