Hougang SMC is a tough ward for PAP which LHL cannot even win in this BE. It is only 1 election and if he cannot even win this tough ward running a country as a PM is even tougher. LHL did not fight hard enough to win the heart of Hougang voters and how can he lead this country and to win the hearts of all Singaporeans?
'Do first then talk later' and make friends with your enemy will win in any tough SMC wards than to try to meet them at the cal-de-sac, borrow his father's hatchet, and recycle old intimidations and threats to Singaporeans don't work anymore. For the past 20 years intimidations and threats was what PAP did to Hougang. PMship job is not for weak leader (or with pai kia atitude) and it is not a business left behind by his own father where the son(s) can simply take over, even without leadership quality.
Please consider resign your PMship now before it is too late. Singaporeans has had enough of LHL leadership as PM of Singapore. TP GRC is waiting for next BE soon if old fart is to uplorry anytime now (or become deaf or slur in speech, and wheeled chair and made to step down) and it might be too late to re-write his own politcal history as a failed PMship for losing his own father TP GRC to oppositions. By then all future generations (his grand and great grand children too) study Singapore political history LHL will always be read as a failed PM of Singapore (tua lau kwei).
Please also do the right thing - return Istana back to the people and a backbencher MP in Parliamnet does not deserve to live there. With millions of dollars that this old fart was making in past 50 years he can afford to build his own Istana anywhere in the world with his wealth. So can LHL resign now and live happily ever after with his old fart. Go.
