PAP needs more people like Desmond Choo

Desmond Choo is a credit to the PAP.

And people like Desmond Choo actually serve to convince voters that PAP is indeed trying to change. It's a shame that PAP candidates can only be humble when they are the 'underdog', coming up against a 20-year incumbent. If they were to approach every single constituency this way, by working the ground tirelessly and focusing on developing the personal touch, Singapore would be a much better place.

The PAP needs more people like Desmond Choo and less people like Teo Chee Hean.

And the party should also bring more Desmond Choo types in, and clear out the dross like Tin Pei Ling and Sitoh Yih Pin, as well as the silent department store dummies like Ang Wei Neng, Alex Yam, Seah Kian Peng, Lim Biow Chuan and Yeo Guat Kwang. WTF have any of them done in Parliament?

just as much as you thought that the media had helped PAP won this BE, word from the ground is folks in Hougang didn't trust DC. he's simply guilty by association. want to be an independent voice? strip out of his white and stand as an independent and folks will then trust him.
now, DC still a credit to PAP? :p:p:p

The current anti-PAP political climate appears to gain strength and momentum instead of subsiding. WP's votes for this BE are much higher than I expected (above 60%). Considering YSL incident and the relatively weak-looking candidate Png, the better-than-expected result is clearly a sign of protest against PAP.

PAP wanted to fight the BE at the local level instead of the country level, where so many things have gone wrong. HG residents are simply not immune to these problems (such as SMRT). DC may have been working at HG for the last 15 months, he may be a genuinely earnest chap committed to help HG residents, but the tide is cuurently too overwhelmingly strong against the PAP, and in HG, WP is just too entrenched. DC can't win over the residents in 15 months. But I agree with Insignia that DC is a good candidate for PAP and he has done well in this BE. Could be even better if he had fought the battle on his own a little bit more. TCH's help really didn't help.

Expect DC to be put in a safe GRC next GE.

DC in a GRC in the next GE? that's free ammo from PAP to the oppositions, his slogan of "always here for you" can become "always in the longkang"! any time, bro :p:p:p
