How did WP select Angela Oon as their candidate?

According to TOC editors, Angela Oon was one of the only five candidate who was not made cadre. Out of 17 WP's Chinese candidates, only 2 were not made cadre. Angela being one of them.

Although any WP minority member can be easily picked as candidate despite not being a cadre so as to make up the number for WP's Ali Baba teams, Angela is a Chinese and not qualified in any of WP's Ali Baba teams.

Being non-cadre and non-minority, how on earth was she managed to be selected as a WP candidate? Did Yaw, being a top leader then, somehow and someway, managed to get her selected?

Again, it demonstrate the total flaw and utter failure in WP selection of candidate. Where is their so-called Transparency and Accountability?

And how did she manage to become a cadre given the fact that KelvinSeet just told us that she only become citizen recently?

A Chinese FT is more qualified to become a WP cadre than a local minority member?

I'm merely pointing the obvious fact.

She came here when 2 months old, yet still remain a non-citizen until recently. Before she became citizen, she was a mere foreigner. And when she was helping WP for years, she did that as a foreigner or FT. So these are just mere facts being simply stated.

And yet she put her time, money, and job on the line to stand for election and allow her fellow citizens to vote. If that isn't sincerity and love for country I don't know what is. How many Singaporeans have done as much for Singapore as she has? You're trying to stir up anti-foreigner and racial tensions here. How does that make you a true Singaporean? You're sowing discord and divisiveness, everyone can see that.

WP and their supporters are the ones that racialise the issue...When there is fire and smoke, don't act blur, keep quiet and pretend that nothing has happened.

They're not my comrades. And I don't see those remarks as racially motivated to hurt or deprive. They're bad taste but this is a forum where there is a liberal dose of coarse language among other things, no? If you're so easily offended, then there are more than racists here. There're sexists and homophobics, etc, no?

You're entitled to be anti-WP for all I care. But you lack objectivity and hell bent on racialising issues to push your agenda. You're in bondage and unless you learn to harmonise with the real world, you're going to be very angry and it just makes your life more miserable each day.
