why $750 million? will the people in charge show how they arrived at that figure. It is a lot of money, has a citizen I would like to know where this money is going and who are suppose to be the one approving this project. Have we not learned from the YOG that money was overspent and the projection was totally off.

The government is using the $750 million for drainage work to prime the slowing down economy. They are trying to kill two birds with one stone. However, I am doubtful that they can resolve the flooding in Orchard road by increasing the drainage capacity since the likely cause is the Marina Barrage. Hence the least they could do is to carry out a comprehensive study on its effect on the water flow.

Maybe if they put WKS in charge, the flood would run away to JB!
