13. Even the handicap are not spared. Were they collateral damage in the clash between Govt and dissenters. From every angle I look, the Govt, MPs, YMCA, Han HH are all responsible for the ugly show at Hong Lim yesterday. You are right. Singapore is indeed crumbling.
Many businesses in SG are not doing well for the past three months. With USA and Europe not doing well too, will SG go into a recession next year?? Will the property bubble burst soon? With many unsold condos, will the property companies default on their loans?
With WTI oil selling at US$85 and Brent at US$91 per barrel, what are the implications for SG blue chip companies like Kep Corp, SIA, BDS, etc?
Any Singapore politician who fights for foreigners and proclaim that they must enjoy equal Singaporeans' rights when these foreigners do not shoulder equal Singaporeans' responsibilities is a traitor. If any foreigner or PR want to enjoy same rights as Singaporeans, he must apply to be a Singapore Citizen and if found suitable, become a Singaporean. Then he will enjoy equal rights. If not accepted as a Singaporean, he continues to be a foreigner. Citizenship comes with privileges and responsibilities
A foreigner cannot demand equal rights, opportunities, treatment, etc if he doesn't want to become a Singaporean and shoulder equal responsibilities. How can we allow a Singapore politician to fight for equal rights, equal opportunities, equal treatment for foreigners? Vote that politician out at the next GE.
Singaporeans need to wake up and know who their enemy is.

I am a simple person. To me a Singaporean is a citizen of Singapore who loves the country, will defend Singapore when it is threatened and will work for the betterment of other fellow citizens.
You are right. Some people have warped and complicated ideas of who a Singaporean is. LHL thinks that he can import a PRC from a China village and make him a Singaporean overnight. I disagree with him. A Singaporean is not just a person who holds a Singapore passport. A Singaporean must embrace the values, ethos and feel proud when Majulah Singapura is sung, etc.

What do you think of PAP's knee jerk reaction to open up the SAF to Volunteers and allow them to choose their preferred vocations considering that true blue SG guys are compelled to do two years NS without option?

Agree. Singapore should not blindly pursue economic growth at all expense. This is something which LHL and the PAP cant grasp. And because of their blind pursuit of materialism at all costs, LHL and PAP have done irreparable damage to Singapore and Singaporeans. LHL has no vision for Singapore. His idea of well being is to rope in all kinds of businesses and people into SG...casinos, gambling, horse racing, prostitution, loan sharking, etc. LHL has not done anything to help promote manufacturing, companies, etc.
