Members of public assist in 2 separate arrests

Members of public played a key role in the arrest of two 17-year-old boys in connection with two cases of snatch theft in the Jurong area on Monday.
The teenagers first snatched away a mobile phone from a woman near Pioneer MRT station at 7.45pm that day, but the victim managed to detain one of them while his accomplice got away.
The second suspect's luck, however, ran out after he preyed on a second victim at about 11.30pm that same evening near Boon Lay MRT station.
He had managed to snatch away the victim's mobile-phone but was nabbed by several members of public had heard the victim's cries for help.
