3. Highest direct + indirect taxation, tariffs and fees in the world, but no min. wage, 0 unemployment benefit and social welfare for citizens. You die is your own biz.

4. Meleetocracy and "exceptional breed theory" for Familee members and FTrash, but discriminate against citizens in the name of meritocracy. Familee members can squander away hundreds of billions and get awesome bonuses for doing so, while citizens are retrenched and replaced by FTrash in the name of cost cutting and at the earliest opportunity.

Take it easy bro. There will be negatives and positives in every government in the world.

To be objective, I think you should also list out the main positive areas the Singapore Government have contributed to lives of Singaporeans.

Just take a quick look around at our immediate Asian neighhours, Myanmmar, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia,Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines etc... and you will appreciate how the lives of ordinary Singapore citizens are much better even in these difficult times.

Which of these countries pay their gov't millions in salary?

Marcos, Suharto had to cheat, embezzel, take bribes,.. to make their millions or billions. Ha, Ha In Spore, they get it monthly in their pay check plus other perks. Not forgetting the perks like tax free, lifetime pensions even if they are still in office, directorships in those GLCs, ....

I agree it is in difficult times that Sporeans will find out the "true" worth of those million dollar PAP salaries. We will see what Sporeans think in the next elections. :rolleyes:

LKY will try to get rid of any "credible" opposition, BUT as more Sporeans are being squezzed, they might go with ANY opposition.

With all the mistakess & screwups of LKY's handpicked elite team, how can they claim the opposition will do worse?


PAP will have to do more "fixing" in the next election. Maybe by then LKY will be gone :rolleyes:

Even before the pappies are garment in Singapore, Singapore already better than their neighbours from economic activity. Our port help to make Singapore a thriving city. because we are small country the welath spread ok to almost everyone.

Cannot say that our neighbours poor and we are rich because of pappies.

The FTs are now part of Singapore. If even 10-20% leave then the bank sector will reach collapse because these FT rent homes. The rental is used to pay bank loans. If no rental money then people cannot pay bank loans and banks suffer.

The pappies dig hole deep deep for sinkies to drop into if sinkies don't follow pappy rule.

Subprime with a Singapore flavour. PAP may not be able to influence the decisions of the MNC to close shop in Spore. I suspect majority of property owners support the PAP & they will be a very angry bunch if the property market collapses. :rolleyes:
