STOMPer Shaun was travelling along this road near Jalan Bahar and Lim Chu Kang Road when he noticed that this car had been severely damaged after its driver crashed into a lamp post and a fence.

The incident, which happened at around 6 o'clock in the evening yesterday (September 18), took place near the army camps and Chinese cemetery in the Lim Chu Kang area.

According to Shaun, the driver of the red car was dressed in an SAF uniform.

When Shaun passed by the scene, he saw the driver being passed a fire extinguisher by a couple. The driver then proceeded to use the fire extinguisher to ease the smoke coming from his car.

The STOMPer then approached a traffic police officer, who was issuing a summon nearby, to inform him of the incident.

"He said he saw the car going at a very high speed and knew that it had crashed", the STOMPer recalls.

The officer then went over to speak to the car's driver shortly.

According to the STOMPer, the driver did not seem to have any visible injuries on him.

This bugger must be emulating the Black Knights on take off run on the stretch parallel to the runway.

Before he reach V2, engine failed and he had to abort his take off .He's lucky he just got a summon; from the wreck its bad news.

Bloody hell, F1 season is rubbing off every where.

well,F1 is around the corner,so a lot of drivers of these sporty cars want to give a show time first lor.

Lim Chu Kang aka Runway lots of fast cars will speed like F1 F1 F1......180km...200km...250km...300km.....ka bam bam!! car hit lamp lioa...ai yah!!!

He must be kenna chase by hantu, if not there no reason to crash out of the road. That stretch of road is very wide without divider. So more there not many cars travelling on that road at any old time.

look like he will receive a large bill from LTA for taking out a lamp post and a big chunck of the drain railing to boot.

from the way the car look in the picture, the driver can still walk around. He must really thank his fairy godmother.

Very impressive car, managed to to protect the driver from injury.
Don't think it is repairable, for such cases, how much will the insurance cover?
Who pays for the damage to the fence and lamp post?

that road is very dirty... my dad got an accident there but he survive. my old classmate's brother lost control of his car & got a serious accident... whenever i drive there, i go at max 60 to 70KM/h.... so scary..

Woh.. if you can say V2, you must be from the aviation industry SQ?

Maybe a new type of army training....see can crash and survive or not.....

Sadly not but very enthusiastic in aviation since young.
