Extract form a recent article in PropertyGuru, based on a survey with approx 1700 respondents in Singapore ....

"Meanwhile, more local property investors, accounting for 19 percent of respondents, would consider investing overseas compared to 14 percent in the previous survey.

Malaysia was the top choice with 32 percent, followed by Australia at 24 percent, while New Zealand and the Philippines both recorded nine percent."

Btw, this survey was conducted just before the recent cooling measures. It would very interesting to see the results when they conduct the next one.

I should not distort your words?
Ok then, here are your words, verbatim, in all its undistorted glory..

..What did i find at Danga Bay? That stretch of restaurant in the amphitheatre lookalike building is pretty nice. But the jetty stinks and is badly maintained. They don't allow me to walk my dog around that area and that really pissed me off. Instead you find hamburger sellers and malay in tudungs hanging around that place with their kids running around. It is simple - they just need build themed Alfresco eateries and drinking places like Clarke Quay.

This is a pure failure in execution by a bunch of Mats who do not know what it takes to make a place lively. Imagine, their masterplan for Danga Bay actually has a "resort" on the bay! I wished i could offer them my service! You cannot let a muslim guy lead the effort to develop an entertainment area.

Haha... wah... weewoowee... thanks for reproducing this... looking back i can't help but chuckle at such a masterpiece... If Danga Bay entertainment area becomes a hit and success i move out of Malaysia... if it goes on the way it is then i am just stating facts

Bros, let the matter rest. There was a misunderstood post and apologies made..... Let's move on.... Come let us rise above this, after all we are all here to seek a better place to live in without all the stress of daily living!

Ok.. i will... i am at peace with all human irregardless of race, language and religion... i simply feel a need to take a dig at people i perceive to be self-righteous, holier than thou type.. at the risk of being rebuked by other members

I dont know if the live firing exercise across the tiny strip of sea between this part of Nusajaya and Spore will affect the daily affair of those residing or working in these Medini offices which are high rise and perhaps less than 5km away from the live firing. Already, Leisure Farm residents have confirmed that the noise could be heard. If thats the case, then I think this will be a major hiccup when there are occupants.

Many years ago, when i was staying in the west, can hear the motar bombs at a distance at Murai training grounds. bearable...i rem happen once a while, not everyday..i think during major exercise when they use all live ammos....once they start developing the Tengah side for housing, i suppose all these got to be reduced further also..i think eventually samma live firings either at offshore islands or overseas...in Sing, every inch of land maciam gold.

Lifted this from Asiaone:

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will conduct military exercises in Seletar, Marsiling, Jalan Bahar, Neo Tiew, Lim Chu Kang, Jalan Kwok Min, Tuas, Upper Jurong, Hong Kah, Ama Keng, Bedok Jetty, Kranji, Lentor, Simpang, Sembawang and Mandai from Monday to Jan 2.

Looks like its going to get quite "noisy" for the next few days.

Many thanks B Seri, even though I don't understand since I only travel Second Link lol, but it's for benefit of others, so hopefully he/she familiar enough with area to understand.

Thanks for asking what I wanted to ask but always forgotten... and thanks BSeri for pointing the way.
I think I should be able to recognise the way next time as ventured there before, except that I probably took a wrong turn somewhere.
Anyway, petrol is (still) relatively cheap, haha (but still painful to pocket...) and lots of time during these holidays, plan to check it out next week!

I believe the HDB rule is ... if you still have loan and not yet completed MOP, then you cannot buy any private property, whether locally or foreign (eg Malaysia)...
Best you check this clearly to avoid future complications... not worth the risk if you run afoul.

Hi Maxpark,

If I remember correctly I read across one guy comment in this thread that HDB found out he has one property oversea and haven finish paying the hdb, thus ask him to sell away either one. May I know what is MOP?

Yes, Okane san

You should be looking at the recently launched phase 7B and phase 8B, also current new launch "Courtyard 3". If you see the master plan from their website: www.nusaidaman.com, the site office is sitting on Phase 8F.

PS: the website is a bit siow siow aka gila, sometimes they bring you to a "domain name" reservation website. But try again later when it's up.

The phase 8B showhouse opens till 3pm on weekdays and till 5pm on weekends according to the learned security auntie (Judo - black belt 2nd dan)

happy viewing and wish you the best in your pursuit of happyness
