No. The vital organs wound actually closes up upon withdrawal and force the internal haemorrhaging and becomes deadly by not bleeding out. The wound marks are triangular like the Benz logo.

SINGAPORE: A 28-year-old man died after he was involved in a gang fight at Orchard Plaza early Friday morning.

Police said they were informed of a fight at about 4.15am.

They said the victim had slash wounds and was pronounced dead in hospital at about 5am.

Shopowners in the area told Channel NewsAsia that fights in the area are common, with an average of two to three incidents a week, especially on weekends.

Boutique owner James Koh said: "I saw a pool of blood outside my shop. And the whole place was blocked. I heard there was a gang clash....somebody was 'chopped' outside my shop."

SHOP owners at Orchard Plaza got a shock when they came to work today. The lobby of the shopping mall had been cordoned off and there was blood on the floor. A security officer told RazorTV he saw a group of five men slashing a 28-year-old man in the lobby before fleeing on foot.

He alerted the police immediately. The victim, a Malay man, was sent to hospital and pronounced dead at 4.58am. A parang and two choppers were subsequently found within the vicinity, but there were no visible blood stains on them. Police suspect them to be murder weapons.

Police were on hand to gather evidence in and around Orchard Plaza.
