A very thin laptop without a regular USB port?

A watch with battery life that lasts one day?

Surely this is the beginning of the end for Apple

That's what I thought when they came up with that stupid phone which needed daily charging while my Motorola needed juice once every 10 days.

However, history has shown that that my opinion isn't shared by others.

This watch will totally bomb.

Battery life of 18 hours. Aesthetically, it looks like a Mickey Mouse watch. Many functions are already available on the iPhone.
What is the main selling point of this watch?

I was one of the 1st to buy the version 1.0 of the iPod in Spore back when I had $$$ because I had a steady job:smile:
It was I think $600+ can't remember because it was so long ago.

Back then there were very few iPod like devices except for maybe those Sony Walkman's. I didn't think it would catch on but I guess I was wrong.

Version 1.0 of the Apple watch may not seem like much but you never know with products from Apple:confused:
We are talking about the Apple ecosystem & over time they will no doubt improve it. In the future, you might need one to start a future Apple car, after paying for it with an Apple pay

The battery life is a show stopper for me. I cannot imagine having to take my watch off daily to charge it. I hardly ever take my watch off. I even shower with it on.

In my opinion the watch is not viable till the problems of battery life have been solved and that requires a breakthrough in battery technology or charging methods.

If the battery life was 6 months to a year, I'd buy one.

I think battery life is 18 hours.

The main reason I don't use a smartphone is because I found that recharging it everyday was a hassle. I have gone back to using a dumb candy phone which only requires charging once a week. It also has a keyboard:smile:

I have gone through generations of Sony Walkman, my first walkman was the cassette one with foldable bright yellow portable Sony over ear head phones, was quite "haolian" back then wearing, only kid in the place with a portable music device, had two changes to that walkman, then graduated to the discman...& much later to Sony Discman MP3 player...that I junked, limit in size, can't have play list, but sound very good. Then to iPod touch....till iPad mini 1 & 2 (128gb), iPad Air (128gb)...sold all, now without a portable music device.

My point is..when the Walkman cassette player came along...people thought it would not catch on too..right? But, I am still looking for the good in sound portable player with large storage space & expandable, APPLE music devices sucks....

There is not much of that high res music player in the market, the Sony ones, not so good, iRiver A&K, expandability by cards not so good...& PONO, another overhyped thing...

Apple is lousy at music.....though Jobs was an Audiophile & this is still a big surprised to me, APPLE SUCKS AT MUSIC...
