Is it normal to lose interest in getting out of the house ?

I have stopped shopping in Singapore altogether.

If I need to go shopping, I would go Johor Bahru. It's not as crowded as Singapore. From Kranji, I take a bus to CIQ Johor. City Square will always be my first stop, followed by KSL, Holiday Inn, Taman Sentosa. Tebrau City and Johor Premium Outlet. The bus journey from JB Sentral to JPO is very pleasant, and the buses are new and cooling.

There are many things to do and explore in Sinkieland. Who knows, you might get a chance to help a foreigner with directions.

This afternoon we were cycling at top speed along the Changi Coastal Road when a Toyota Camry overtook us and flagged us to stop.

The driver, an Indian came out off his car and approached us to ask for direction to Katong.

I directed him towards Changi Village and he was so thankful.

Recently i discovered that I do not feel like going out besides having to go out for work. After work i wish to be at home asap. Is this normal or a sickness ?

I also stop going out of the house these days.

On weekends it's almost impossible to find a parking lot in shopping malls along Orchard Road.

On weekdays traffic along expressways, CBD and Orchard Road is chock-a-block.

Am paying $2000 plus a year for my car road tax and $1000 plus for car insurance and the vehicle is parked at home most of the time.

You tell me lah, how to vote for the freaking PAP?

It is abnormal. Signify some mental.illness like fear of crowded space. You better start getting out to meet people otherwise u woukd look forward to the coffin.

Do you know why people who don't like to get out of the house are labelled as "depressed", "not normal", "unusual", "abnormal", etc. It's because when people go out, they are tempted to spend money they wouldn't have spent if they had stayed at home in the first place. People tend to spend money impulsively buying things they don't need when they are out in public.

Just follow the money and you'll understand why anything that hurts the interest of big businesses and the revenue generating capacity of the gov't is considered "sick", "something is wrong", "weird", "uncool", "unacceptable", etc..

I think you are missing the point. It's not that he do not go out, but a sudden change and that is not good. A sudden and significant change usually points to a depressive state. Short term, it's normal, if long term, he may need help. For example if you are always home and suddenly you are out every night partying, it is a sudden change.

Yes i hate crowded place and having to change lane, check blind spot while walking. At least I bear with it and quickly head my way home after work. I seen people mumbling to themselves in crowded places these are the serious sickness. Maybe I am a little sick cos I mumble to myself also but inside mind only, never say out.

Go home is better than being a loser outside. Drink beer at coffeeshop alone and talk to the China beer ladies. Frankly speaking, that's pretty sad.
