Three dead, 13 injured in bus crash
KULAIJAYA: Three men died in an accident involving a double-decker bus and a trailer at 5.50am along North-South Highway (PLUS) KM45.9 today.
Kulaijaya police chief Superintendent Zulkefly Yahya said those deceased were identified as Shashi Kumar Raman, 23, from Taman Bemban Utama, Malacca; Edi Setiono, 41, from Batu Ampar, Indonesia and A Majid Sadar Mohd, 59, from Gemas, Negeri Sembilan.
"Shasi who was driving the bus and Edi, a passenger, died at the scene while Majid, who was driving the trailer, died at Kulai Hospital due to a heart attack," he said.
Zulkefly said 14 bus passengers were also rushed to Kulaijaya Hospital for minor injuries.
The trailer was said to be on the right lane when the south boundexpress bus crashed into it.
The accident caused a massive traffic jam, slowing traffic at both directions.
