Shooting again. Customs #02 kenna gunned down

PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia - Customs deputy director-general Datuk Shaharuddin Ibrahim was shot dead by an unknown assailant while in his car on his way to work in Putrajaya.

KL police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohamad Salleh confirmed the incident.

Details remain sketchy but Shaharuddin's driver rushed him to the Putrajaya Hopsital after he was shot just before 9am, sources said.

The police are questioning the driver to establish what really happened.

Could this be a political-linked violence?

Re: Living in JB 3 (Johore)

Frankly, to be a successful, vibrant and sustainable city, it must have a large domestic population, subject to its physical land area's capability. Just look at Hongkong (including the New Territory), Shanghai, London, New York, Tokyo, etc. That is why KL is more vibrant than JB. That is also why the PAP is adamant on their 6.9m population eventuality. But regretfully, Singapore doesn't really have the space and infrastructures to house them comfortably.

Many of the common Johoreans are still under privileged because of their lower wages, compared to their more successful brethren cities like KL and Penang. So, they should rightfully try to seek for a better and improved brighter future for themselves. That's also how a country moves forward and it is just a natural course. 1 way to enrich these common people is through higher wages with corresponding increased productivity. Time and commitment will be required to achieve this. They can only help themselves to achieve an even better future. Things will change and there is no point to reminisce the past since the world is not going to wait for you.

Also, saw a group of "Singaporean PR" Indonesian there too, the same group that I saw in LF and EL sales office sometime ago, driving S-plate lux. car.

Yes. One driving BMW 335i which easily cost RM 400,000- RM 500,000. A monthy pay of RM 3000 can buy such a car? And many people say he from rich family, if he is from rich family, he would be driving the BMW 335i a few years ago. Another salesman drive Toyota Mark and another Mit ASX. They are richer than many forummers here. Too bad whatever I post, there are always jealous people sowing discord.

Also, this is a crime section and I post crime new. Anything wrong? haha
.....yah....something wrong ..."crime new".....new crime? hahaha...so what's new? ...that's news.....

Hitmen strike again. About 6-7 murder cases in KL / Greater KL area in the past 2-3 weeks already.

These postings are an important reminder that crime still features in the Malaysian agenda. Let's hope the Government and the people can work together to eradicate it.

Re: Living in JB 3 (Johore)

Malaysia should have better tightened their coastline with Sumatra. Those Indonesians coming in illegally from Sumatra are one of the main culprits. Once they lose their jobs in Malaysia or are unable to earn a living, they will resort to robberies and violence.

Another task the police needs to take is to round up those drug addicts (locals alike), lock them up for a good period and rehabilitate them properly and adequately.

Ms Nuraina put up a fight and ended up with bruises in her left arm. She also lost RM9,000 (S$3,670).

This is what happens when crimes are not held in check. Malaysia is miles ahead of India and heaven forbid that it degenerates to this.

4-year-old Indian rape victim dies from cardiac arrest

NEW DELHI — A four-year-old girl who was raped and dumped near a crematorium in central India died on Monday evening from cardiac arrest, an official said yesterday.

NEW DELHI — A four-year-old girl who was raped and dumped near a crematorium in central India died on Monday evening from cardiac arrest, an official said yesterday.

The girl, the daughter of poor construction workers, was lured from her home in the town of Ghansor in Madhya Pradesh state on April 17, and found the next day by her parents, bleeding profusely, the police said.

The girl suffered cardiac arrest and died at a hospital in Nagpur city in neighbouring Maharashtra state, where she was being treated for injuries from the assault, said Mr Bharat Yadav, Collector for Seoni district, where the attack occurred.

The police have arrested Firoz Khan, 27, a welder who worked at the nearby Jhabua Power Plant, for the attack.

They have also arrested a second man, Rakesh Chaudhary, 25, who allegedly took the girl to her attacker, but did not rape her himself.

“The investigation is going on,” said Mr Mithlesh K Shukla, Seoni’s Superintendent of Police.

“They will be charged soon and we will ensure that they get the strictest punishment.”

India has seen a recent sharp rise in the number of rapes and sexual crimes against women and children. Officials say the spike has resulted from more people reporting the crimes.

Earlier last month, a five-year-old girl was kidnapped, raped and tortured by two men, who then abandoned her in a locked room in New Delhi. She is still recovering at a hospital in the city.

Police refused to register a case when the girl’s parents reported that their daughter was missing.

Hundreds of people protested outside the police headquarters in New Delhi for three days, angry over allegations of police inaction and indifference to the parents’ complaints.

In mid-March, a Swiss woman said she was gang-raped while camping with her husband near Orchha — an emerging tourist destination in the central state of Madhya Pradesh.

The recent attacks come four months after the fatal gang-rape of a 23-year-old woman on a New Delhi bus sparked protests and outrage across India about the treatment of women in the country.

The December attack spurred the government to pass tough laws for crimes against women, including the death penalty for repeat offenders or for rape attacks that lead to the victim’s death.

Bro Wuqi

Oh come on! That is not going to lead to Singapore usurping Johor's position as a dangerous location! The island is very safe! Our Government has told us so.
