I love this tv series, more for the premise of the show than for the show itself. :o

It's about a group of people who go about getting justice for people who have been cheated or robbed by rich and powerful people who manage to evade the law. The team includes Nate Ford the leader (played by Timothy Hutton), a lady grifter Sophie, a lady thief Parker, a guy fighter Eliot and guy hacker Hardison.

Some quotes from Nate Ford:

"The rich and powerful take what they want. We get it back for you.
Sometimes bad guys make the best good guys. We provide Leverage."

"We pick up where the law leaves off."

Try to catch it. :p

Similar theme in "Burn Notice", another must-watch.

Another good series "Burn Notice".
Doesn't hurt to have Gabrielle Anwar wearing those spaghetti straps without undies. :o

There's a slight difference in the themes though. The victims in Leverage are usually people who have been seriously victimised by people who abuse wealth and power. Victims in Burn Notice usually are involved in some shady business and have been played out by even bigger arseholes and can't go to the police. Good shows both.

Don't really agree with you there.
Firstly, the Leverage team's philosophy is "We pick up where the law leaves off." That means that they will report the case to the police and let due process take its course. Only if justice is not done do they take action. Usually, they take a case only where legal measures have been exhausted or repelled by the corrupt.
Secondly, many people take justice into their own hands and dish out vigilante justice on the basis that they are right and the other person is wrong. Due to human failings and weaknesses, these people are frequently not in the right but are only dishing out punishment because they are uncouth, unreasonable, and think they can get away with it or are more powerful.

Btw, hotbot "leave the forum", krafty come back, when will the reverse next happen?
