STOMPer Jaclyn was left stranded alone in Vietnam for 10 hours after her Jetstar flight was cancelled. She even had to sleep at the airport. Jetstar says it tried to call all affected passengers, but was unable to reach Jaclyn, and hence sent her an email instead .

The Jetstar Asia spokesperson explained (Apr 25):

"We refer to the 23 April 2011 STOMP article 'Jetstar pushed too far this time: Stranded alone for 10 hours in Vietnam'.

"We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to Ms Jaclyn.

"The flight 3K552 from Ho Chi Minh to Singapore on 2 April 2011 was cancelled due to operational reasons.

"Our customer care team made efforts to call all affected passengers to inform about the cancellation but was unable to reach Ms Mo on her mobile phone number.

"We proceeded to send her an email on 1 April to inform her about the cancellation.

"Our team then arranged for her the next earliest possible flight back to Singapore on 3 April 2011.

"We have been in touch with Ms Jaclyn to offer options for reimbursement and also travel vouchers to express our apologies.

"We continue to keep in contact with Ms Jaclyn to resolve the matter.

"Once again, Jetstar apologises for the inconvenience caused to Ms Jaclyn."
