A man jumped onto the train tracks at Sembawang MRT Station, says STOMPer Kelvin, who witnessed the incident from his flat facing the station. He saw a body being lifted from the tracks by paramedics, and heard the station's 'train delay' announcement being made.

STOMPers Stefanie and Kelvin both sent in photos of the incident.

STOMPerKelvindescribes the scene:

"I stay at the block of flats directly opposite from Sembawang MRT Station.

"A man jumped down onto the Sembawang MRT Station tracks in the middle of night, triggering a delay of 55mins.

"I spotted paramedics retrieving a body from the train tracks, which was then covered with a white cloth. The train had stopped partway across the station.

"I then heard the station announce a train delay.

"This happened at about 11.30pm to around midnight last night (Apr 15)."
