Splash

A splash can be seen as a window with pre-configured effects built into it. With each effect design to suit a varieties of ways to decorated up your display while it dashes out into the window for a little moment of time.

You could still create your own objects animation with splash on top of the chosen effect. An extra tab called "decorator" is exclusively use for containing the ornaments for the chosen effect. Some effects also required at least a path as in the above example. You can use the path tool to create it.

General Information and Splash Types

There are 2 canvases in Splash, one for containing your ornaments to be use for the type of Splash effect and the other for carrying your content during play. Currently objects use as ornaments does not support customize animation or placing in Set.

Duplication

Most Splashes duplicates and recycle it's ornaments to make up for any short fall. If more is specified, they will be picked up in the next repeating cycle.

Path

Some Splashes uses single or multiple path. Each path are lines with points where a ornament will be placed on it. Splashes that support path may have choices to indicate it's path usages. If no path are specified, it will construct a single path based on the Xs and Ys values of each of your ornaments.

Enter/Leave

This is an implementation whereby a Splash can be seen dashing into the display area, performing it's effect and showing it's content before leaving the display area.

In the Enter/Leave Tab above, here is a brief information.

Seconds: The time to move between 2 points.
Xs and Ys: These are relative points to the Splash Window coordinates.
Easing: A standard easing to be applied to the movement.

Note: The Seconds parameter is independent of the main timeline, ie. the Splash effect kicks in together when the window start moving and ends when the window has left.

Time Tab ( Common parameters applied to all Splashes )

Frame Rate: The timer heartbeat in seconds or time it refreshes.
Interval: A time interval to create the next ornament or group of ornaments or action.
Timeout: The cut off time for effect. The checkbox indicates it uses what was defined in the main timeline.
Taper: Tapering out the effect before the timeout kicks in. It will attempt to perform a smooth exit if neccessary.

Fly Splash

A Fly Splash places ornaments across each point on the path. If more then 1 path is specified, it will use the subsequent path when it repeats itself. The direction and flight path is base on how you create your path. The points density that you specified for a particular path determines the flight gap across the path and it's masses.

Quantity: Amount to duplicate on each point in the path.
Repeat: Number of repeats before timeout.
Random Rotation: Random the direction of rotation.
Rotation Amount: Amount to rotate in each frame.
Alpha Amount: Amount to fade out in each frame.

Spread Type: Direction to spread out.
Spread Speed: The pixel amount to move when it spread.
Distance1 : When creating, determines the spread amount for type Mixed.
Distance2: Same as above, for type Vertical and Horizontal.

Fall Splash

A Fall Splash places ornaments randomly across the window width as it descended down, creating a single ornament at each interval.

Speed: The rate of descend. This value multiply by window height.
Minimum Alpha: Minimum starting range during creation.
Maximum Alpha: Maximum starting range.
Alpha Amount: Fading out amount during descend.
Minimum Rotation: Minimum starting range during creation.
Maximum Rotation: Maximum starting range.
Rotation Amount: Amount to rotate during descend.

Drop Splash

A Drop Splash randomly creates and spread out a single ornament on the interval onto the surface area of the window.

A Stream Splash places ornaments randomly across a single side as it traverse across depending on the direction specfied, creating a single ornament at each interval.

A Skate Splash move around the window area randomly and bounces off any side and stay within the window.

Carousel Splash

A Carousel Splash places ornaments in a oval shape path and moves along it, fronting it at maximum value and backing out to minimum value.

No duplication in this Splash. It uses whatever ornaments you included in the project.

A Turnup Splash places a single ornament on the interval along a path, starting from minimum value.

Flyout Splash

The Flyout Splash places ornaments along a line or on the center of window creating a single ornament per frame. It uses a random quadrant of 8 and a wing span to determine the flight direction for every 20 frames.

A Bobbing Splash places ornaments along a path if specified or uses whatever ornaments you have included in your project and it's position.
