<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> AN INDONESIAN maid leapt 10 floors to her death after she was found to have stolen cash and jewellery from her employer, a coroner's court heard on Thursday. Marsini, 27, who had been working for Mr Lua Ting Hui, 60, for about 1 1/2 months, was found lying motionless at the ground floor of Block 850 Woodlands Street 82, on June 17. Mr Lua's son had taken her the previous day to the maid agency in Upper Bukit Timah Road where she confessed in writing that she had stolen cash and jewellery. While she was being taken with other domestic workers to be housed at the agent's Woodlands flat, she told one of them that she had stolen from her employer due to financial problems. She was crying. At the flat, she had no appetite. Before bed time, she was seen sitting in the living room, staring blankly into space. Her body was found lying at the foot of the block at around 4am.
State Coroner Victor Yeo recorded a verdict of suicide on her death.
