It was a scene straight out of the movies. A lorry swerving from left to right trying to dislodge a man clinging for dear life on the bonnet.

This happened in real life in Choa Chu Kang in October 2010 and Loh Yeoh was jailed for two months for rash driving on Oct 12, 2011.

It all started when the 67-year-old lorry driver stole a copy of the Malay newspaper Berita Harian from a minimart in Choa Chu Kang Crescent at 12pm on Oct 12 last year.

Police were summoned but before they arrived, Low decided to make a run for it.

He dashed to his lorry in the car park, climbed in and drove out to Choa Chu Kang North 7.

Shopkeeper Ang Chee Beng, 37, gave chase and was able to grab onto the right side mirror of the moving lorry.

why is there a need to steal newspaper? To steal food is understandable, but newspaper???? Sinkies sort of mixed up their priorities in life.
