SINGAPORE: Singapore's Land Transport Authority said that the number of illegal advertisements posted near train stations has dropped by more than half.
The first half of this year saw about 800 such cases, compared to 1,700 in the first half of last year.
Measures taken by LTA to reduce illegal advertising include introducing notice boards for people to place advertisements. They can rent board space for less than S$1 a day.
LTA said they may introduce more of such boards if there is demand.
